About

Mujtaba Hassanpur

I've spent 19+ years shipping software. Today I'm a Senior Software Development Engineer at Amazon in Seattle.

My path is unusual on purpose. Firmware for HP Superdome servers that couldn't go down. FDA-cleared medical software at Scanadu. Consumer apps at MyFitnessPal and Sling Media. Then eight and a half years as founder/CTO of Ongo Labs, where I raised over $8M, grew the platform past $1.2M ARR, and hired and mentored the engineering team.

That range is the point. Firmware taught me that memory is finite and timing is real. Founding taught me what customers actually pay for. I bring both to AI systems: production discipline and product judgment, learned the expensive way.
